Join Orchestra Santa Monica for a thrilling and emotionally rich finale to our 2026–27 season. The evening is anchored by William Walton’s powerful Symphony No. 1, a gripping 20th-century masterpiece renowned for its intensity, passion, and exhilarating conclusion. Internationally acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw joins the orchestra for Samuel Barber’s beloved Violin Concerto, a work of lyrical beauty, heartfelt expression, and dazzling virtuosity. Concluding the evening on a lighter note, Stefan returns to perform two unforgettable favorites: Jacob Gade’s fiery Tango Jalousie and Ennio Morricone’s nostalgic and deeply moving Cinema Paradiso. From sweeping romance and breathtaking virtuosity to cinematic nostalgia and triumphant orchestral grandeur, this concert offers an extraordinary range of musical emotions and the perfect celebration to bring our season to a memorable close.
