Mission
Our mission is to build a strong community of classical music lovers and make a positive impact on the quality of people’s lives. OSM creates and shares life-enriching experiences through accessible and inspirational live performances of music in the classical tradition.
Orchestra Concerts
OSM performs its orchestra concerts in a variety of venues, primarily in Santa Monica. These include the Eli & Edythe Broad Stage, Adams Performing Arts Center, Barnum Hall, Calvary Baptist Church, and First Presbyterian Church.
OSM has always provided many complimentary and discounted tickets to help make our concerts accessible to the community. Starting in Fall 2022, OSM has made its concerts free to all, bringing its music to the widest audiences possible.

OSM keeps its musical programming interesting, presenting standard classical repertoire, less-traditional works, various genres of music (e.g., Broadway, jazz, and bluegrass inspired styles) and new, exciting works by living composers. Depending on the repertoire being performed, the number of musicians typically ranges anywhere from 50 to 70 players for our orchestra concerts.
The orchestra is also available for hire by presenting organizations. For example, OSM recently performed in the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival.
