Bass

Jules Levy is a Los Angeles based studio musician and classically trained Double Bassist. Jules can be heard performing around Los Angeles in orchestras such as the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, American Music Awards, Redlands Symphony, Long Beach Symphony and Orchestra Santa Monica . In addition to live performances, Jules can be heard playing on film and television productions such as Disney’s Onward, Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America, Parasite Live to Film, Star Trek Discovery and Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham. Jules has collaborated with artists such as Camila Cabello, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Erica Campbell, Kenny Burrell, Augustin Hadelich, and Nicola Benedetti at venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, Disney Hall, Royce Hall and Carnegie Hall. Jules is the Recipient of 4 Consecutive Full Scholarships to the prestigious Aspen Music Festival for the 2016-2019 seasons, serving as Assistant-Principal Bass of the Aspen Festival Orchestra and Principal of the Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, Jules was an active teaching artist with the Gluck and Music Outreach programs at UCLA, where he taught and performed solo and chamber music for inner-city K-12 students all over the greater Los Angeles area. Jules is a former student of Los Angeles Philharmonic Principal Bass Chris Hanulik and Los Angeles Opera’s former Principal Bass, David Young.
